CollabNet Joins Government and Industry Leaders at the Department of Defense Intelligence Information Systems Worldwide Conference (DoDIIS)

We are kicking off August live from Atlanta at the Department of Defense Intelligence Information Systems (DoDIIS) Worldwide Conference. Today August 1, through Wednesday, August 3, we will join 2,000 government, civilian, military and industry partners united by the conference theme, “Mission Integration at the Speed of Operations.”

DoDIIS is hosted by the DIA Chief Information Officer (CIO), who is committed to providing rapid, integrated solutions to mission partners. The conference features 300+ exhibitors and an education program focused on integration across the Intelligence Community (IC); integration between intelligence and mission; and rapidly developing and deploying mission-focused solutions.

As the demand for rapid, integrated software solutions by government agencies increases, software developers need the help of web-based tools, and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and DevOps solutions in order to deliver on these needs. Government agencies are unique because they have specific requirements for security, control and transparency. Without visibility into the day-to-day status of software development, these essential requirements are at risk of non-compliance. Our agile and ALM solutions are FISMA FIPS 160 and DIACAP compliant and are designed to meet the software development and delivery needs of modern government agencies.

CollabNet TeamForge, our powerful platform that enables enterprise software development, delivery and collaboration at speed and at scale, has more than 10,000 licensed federal users and was adopted by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in 2008. It is the core technology powering Forge.mil. Through TeamForge, Forge.mil delivers a suite of integrated tools for project and idea collaboration specifically for the Department of Defense (DoD) technology development community. These tools enable DoD developers and partners to adopt collaborative best practices, reuse code assets, and have transparency across the entire development process.

We are attending DoDIIS as a partner of Carahsoft, a trusted government IT solutions provider. Here’s what Carahsoft has to say about our partnership:

“CollabNet has consistently delivered a valuable resource to government agencies, helping them modernize and stay competitive in today’s software-driven world. DoD’s Forge.mil is great example,” said Natalie Gregory, Vice President of Open Source Solutions at Carahsoft, which serves as CollabNet’s master aggregator and government distribution partner. “As agencies in the public sector push forward with innovating quality applications, it is essential they provide the best tools and processes for development.”

CollabNet has long been committed to providing federal and other government organizations with the tools, expertise, and services they require to develop software to strict quality standards. The tools and methods of software development and delivery are evolving quickly and this conference helps attendees learn about how these changes affect software development in the public sector. The CollabNet team is glad to have this opportunity to share about our own advances that support this important sector.
