    Kanban is actually a Japanese word for signpost or billboard. :-) The Japanese might not be too happy with your calling Kanban “a dumb name for a cool thing”. That said, it’s definitely a cool thing!

    “Kanban” for software is a misappropriation of a word from the Toyota Production System that (in that context) is a parts restocking card. The concept they advocate (which we support, of course) has a lot to do with limiting work in progress and would be better described as single piece flow (if we are to borrow from the Toyota Production System). Since this has very little to do with parts restocking or signs, people who prefer to use words accurately find the word “Kanban” for software a bit irritating.

    I got my 21 contact hours by attending live classes offered by 360PMO , and I completely agreed that ACP has far more rich contents and overall Agile context than CSM. Again, learning is continuous, and certifications are journey not a destination
