Someone had to say it: too few Product Owners automatically know what their role requires and have plenty of time to do it! Just reading a book often isn’t enough.

Angela D joins the ScrumCORE team with plenty of experience helping Product Owners in real life.

Some good suggestions here Angela. Having taught with you I can agree with Michael that you bring some excellent real-world skills to the training arena.

And yes, people very often are thrust into the PO role when an organization decides to introduce Scrum. Some bring great skills to this role, some come with great enthusiasm to learn a new way of working. Others though, bring skills that are simply not useful, out-moded ideas rooted in failed, mecahnistic processes.

Part of the improvement process is learning what to drop as much as what to add. Sometimes this is the hardest part.
